WHAT IS PWR?

Pilipino Welcome Reception (PWR) is PCMC's first project of the year. With this year's program being the 32nd Annual PWR, it serves as an immense reunion for returning students and official welcome assembly for incoming undergraduate, graduate, and transfer students to our Pilipinx Bruin family at UCLA.  Before the official start of each school year, PWR creates a space where students can:

• Get to know the P-orgs of the Mabuhay Collective at UCLA, as well as some other guest organizations
• Meet new people and see familiar faces
• Eat some amazing, locally-sourced, Filipino food
• Watch amazing performances from the Pilipinx community
• Embrace their Pilipinx/Pilipinx American identity
• Experience the familial atmosphere within the Pilipinx community at UCLA​

With the goal of cultivating a community for Pilipinx-identifying students and students who appreciate Pilipinx culture, this event - full of lively presentations, performances, food, and networking - kicks off the academic year and paves way for the year-long journey we will partake together as a community.

HOW DO I PARTICIPATE IN #PWR32?

REGISTER AND ATTEND
Sign up and come out for Pilipino Welcome Reception!  All events will be conducted on the UCLA campus.  All important information will be posted on our social media and website.  Register through our RSVP form below to participate in #PWR32. You can also register the day of and during the event. Doors open at 5:45 PM.

WHAT IS PCMC AND MABUHAY COLLECTIVE?

The UCLA undergraduate, graduate, and alumni Pilipinx community is en masse known as the "Mabuhay Collective (MC)". MC comprises the current 15 Pilipinx organization constituents colloquially known as P-orgs.

​The leadership body of and derived from the UCLA Mabuhay Collective is officially regarded as the "Pilipino Council of Mabuhay Collective (PCMC)" where the Pilipinx community's administrative Cabinet Branch, representative Senate Branch, and PALS Executive Intern Board reside.

PWR 32 COMMITTEE

The PWR Committee is the operating body in charge of the planning and execution of the annual Pilipino Welcome Reception at UCLA during Fall Quarter.
