ABOUT
Institutionalized in 2009, the Pilipino Council of Mabuhay Collective (commonly referred to as PCMC, Mabuhay Collective, or Pilipino Council) is a Pilipino-based students association council that facilitates, represents, serves, and unites the UCLA Pilipino and Pilipino-American community collectively known as the Mabuhay Collective. PILIPINO COUNCIL
The Pilipino Council is the "impartial governing body" of the Mabuhay Collective which comprises a variety of student-run and student-led Pilipino organizations called P-orgs. The Council consists of two leadership branches - the Cabinet and Senate - where elected Cabinet Administrators comprise the executive branch and Senators and Associate Senators comprise the legislative branch.
PREAMBLE
We, the People of the Pilipino Council of Mabuhay Collective at the University of California, Los Angeles, in order to serve as a competent and impartial governing body that represents the true ideals and sentiments of the Pilipinx community at UCLA, celebrates the diverse Pilipinx and Pilipinx-American identities, fosters an enduring and supportive community network among Pilipinx undergraduate and graduate students, ensures equal and fair visibility of all our constituents regardless of influence, provides camaraderie and unity among our respective and future constituents, and serves our populace faithfully, do establish and adopt this Constitution. |
CONSTITUENTS
PCMC is a council of 15 Pilipino-based organizations at and beyond UCLA en masse known as the Mabuhay Collective. The member organizations called constituents cover a wide background of topics, each of which specializing within a particular niche in the Pilipino community. In other words, there is an organization in the PCMC for any Pilipino-identifying student's particular interests.

PROJECTS
PCMC is primarily responsible for planning and executing community-wide programs for the UCLA Pilipino and Pilipino-American student and alumni communities. Some of these programs include traditional celebrations including the Pilipino Welcome Reception and the Mabuhay Benefit Festival. All of these programs called projects collectively work towards building cross-organizational solidarity amongst the diverse Pilipino organizations at UCLA.

INTERNSHIP
The "Pilipinx Advancing Leadership Success (PALS) Executive Intern Board (EIB)" (commonly known as PALS or the Executive Internship) is a leadership development and internship advancement program offered by PCMC. PALS is a quarterly commitment program that spans the entire academic year and is offered to all undergraduate and graduate students at UCLA.
