WHAT IS MABUFORMAL?

The Mabuhay Formal (MabuFormal) is PCMC’s fifth project of the year. PCMC partners with the Pilipinx Living Learning Community (LLC) and UCLA Residential Life (ResLife) to plan and execute the annual Pilipino prom for UCLA students. As a signature program for both PCMC and the Pilipinx LLC, MabuFormal intends to provide attendees the opportunity to:

• Participate in a formal tailored towards Pilipino culture.
• Bring a date to a culturally-based, university-sponsored, prom event. 
• Eat locally-sourced and delicious Pilipino food.
• Introduce yourself to new people and catch up with familiar faces.
• Experience the variety of performances and programming.
• Dance to contemporary and Pilipino-based soundtracks.

With the goal of cultivating a space for Pilipino-identifying students and students who appreciate Pilipino culture, this prom event fosters relationships in our community and delivers a night for our university to remember.​

HOW DO I PARTICIPATE IN #MabuFormal2023?

REGISTER AND ATTEND
RSVP for MabuFormal!  All events will be conducted on the UCLA Hill.  All important information will be posted on our social media and website.  Register through our RSVP form at the top or below to participate in #MabuFormal2023. You can also register the day of the event. Doors open at 6:00 PM.

WHAT IS PCMC AND MABUHAY COLLECTIVE?

The UCLA undergraduate, graduate, and alumni Pilipino community is en masse known as the "Mabuhay Collective (MC)". MC comprises the current 15 Pilipinx organization constituents colloquially known as P-orgs.

​The leadership body of and derived from the UCLA Mabuhay Collective is officially regarded as the "Pilipino Council of Mabuhay Collective (PCMC)" where the Pilipino community's executive Cabinet Branch, legislative Senate Branch, and PALS Executive Intern Board reside.

MABUFORMAL 2023 COMMITTEE

The MabuFormal Committee is the operating body in charge of the planning and execution of the annual Mabuhay Formal at UCLA during Spring Quarter.
